My daily routine... 1/29/10.....

Thought I would take a picture of my daily morning routine, which is not always easy for me. On my way back from the morning jog @ the gym downstairs. Love this quote:

I think there is no better way to invite a human being to view their body differently than by inviting them to be an athlete, by revering one's body as an instrument rather than just an ornament. It's a really great way to reorient how you see your body so you can see it as this incredible, awe-inspiring machine that you need to fuel well in order for it to function.

Piroshky.Piroshky.Piroshky! 1/23/10

Our Saturday started out with Piroshky @ the park, then Up In The Air, which was fantastic. Then rented some movies and chilled at home. A great city day with J. =-D

Heather/J and I @ Purple.Lecture on Empathy @ Town Hall.Drinks to discuss -- Friday 1/22/10

We had amazing food and wine flights @ Purple downtown, then to a lecture @ Town Hall on Empathy, which was to say the least; unimpressive. Then off to discuss the lecture at a cozy little bar on Capitol Hill. Great night.

Rendevous - Tuesday 1/19/10 comedy and stuff

Fun night at the Rendevous in Belltown. We watched a preview of a Seattle comedy documentary, then had a Q&A session afterwards. We also discovered that our favorite Seattle bartender, Keith is back @ the Vue and were pretty excited about that. The picture with Keith didn't turn out so well, but I will post it anyways.

Town Hall lecture w/Dr. Mate 1/14/10

J and I went to a Town Hall lecture with Dr. Mate. He spoke about addiction and has worked in BC's 'skid row' for years. It was so insightful and I could have listened to him for hours more. I will check out his book for sure. This picture is not very good but it was rainy and we were rushing to get inside.

The crazy that is IKEA. 1/12/10

I thought this was funny; it's the car from the IKEA commercials. IKEA is crazy, but when you need cheap stuff, it works. Got a few lamps for the bedside and a rug. Exciting day for sure. ;-)

1/7/10
Good morning Seattle! This was the view this morning from our place. I tried not to get the scaffolding in the picture but it's hard to do.

1/6/10

I took this picture on the Alaskan Way Viaduct. I wish they would decriminalize/legalize marijuana and stop wasting money on crap like this. I realize that it was seized from a drug trafficker, but really?

1/5/10
Happy 64th Birthday Dad! I took this picture @ Seattle Center last night on my walk home from dinner with my mom and dad. I think it turned out pretty cool. The temps lately have been in the upper 40's, no complaints.

Seattle T-Birds game - 1/3/2010
Went to the T-Birds Hockey Game for dad's 64th B-Day. How is my dad 64? Time is flying by. T-Birds lost to Spokane 3-2, a good game nonetheless.

My First Picture of the Year ~ 1/1/2010

First picture of the year ~ 2010 or twenty-ten.
I decided that 2010 was the year to be truly fearless. So here are my mom and I (i'm on the right) going to the Polar Bear Plunge 1/1/2010. It was about 46 degrees on Lake Washington in Seattle, so really not too cold. There were so many people that showed up and a lot of people were in costume, maybe next year! It's going to be a fabulous year! =-)
